Sampled a few oysters at Select Oyster Bar in Boston, MA. These are the Moon Shoals from Barnstable, MA (on the right) and Spearpoints from Martha’s Vineyard, MA (on the left). These were two new varieties for us. They were perfectly shucked and ice cold. Both were perfect oysters. Could not declare a winner! http://www.moonshoaloysters.com/…

Oysters: Huitrerie Régis*1/2

Oysters: Legal Seafood Chestnut Hill*****
We have eaten oysters from all over the world and, at the end of the day, New England oysters are our very favorites with Massachusetts coming out on top. Living in Boston we have eaten plenty of Massachusetts oysters from every oyster house in town. The best? Obviously it is subjective but our winner is…
Oysters: Union Square Cafe***
Whaleback oysters from Maine at Union Square Cafe. They were fresh and briny but a little on the small side. Better than what we got in Paris but not quite up to our local standards.
